Orange = better services. I hope there WILL be massive expulsions of MT staffs!!!! NOT KIDDING. REPLACE THEM BY MORE COMPETENT ONES. There is no need to spend money to train them. It's payback time. I look forward to Orange being here -> I'm an Emtel user, btw and a MT ADSL user. Orange will spin up the competitiveness of the market.
So, what - MT has to pay to Orange. This is how it's done. I don't care if the Gov. or the Opposition clan bash the deal. I'm for the deal for it will open up many services beneficial to me as a developer e.g Free SMS gateway for any number (Orange has it off-country) Emtel TOS doesn't allow me to do so even if I can do it. It's kinda illegal.
I'm after services and competiveness even if it's prejudicial to the Gov (any gov - whatever party it is) 'coz it doesn't do what I hoped it would do or will do. I'm also for the change of the brand of Mauritius, btw - from Cyber Island to Call Centre Island.
Overall, the current cyber island is infringing my abilities.

Sorry for going off-topic. Emtel VS Orange showdown. *wearing my Emtel war suit* (what? sa ki dire cellplus so reso pli bon ki emtel p coz menti. mo servi emtel et zamai mo pas problem reso et mo gagne bonus and free gifts every month or so. plus its internet service is nifty esp. when travelling.)

I also excuse myself, Carrotmadman for not posting the above @ your blog and posting it here.

That title is a spoof... Razz I'm not against Orange... but rather against the fact that we need to pay them... scratch

Orange will definitely bring in more services & we will know see some REAL competition... hehe (goodbye MTML!) Wink

who cares? make as if you're paying for new services. how long will mt take to modify the tos of cellpus for e.g? orange is the booster of mt. paying orange is not so unethical when you want what matters.

I like Orange. I'm sorry but upon gaining much info, I've found that SAFE now sucks, MU doesn't have enough funds and there's an a$$ in 9 organisation known as ICTA.

I look forward to http://orange.sk/sk/doma/fibernet.html
(70mbit for 1190sk) - that's in SLK.

Orange isn't the only cause for the limits and so on. FTTH will rock (if some frakin' ICTA won't intervene and cause trouble.)

Aside from the above, Emtel rules - in terms of Value Added Services (Free SMS, MCA, Easy transfer, Caller Tune...), corporate packages and network... (Huawei is cool despite the caps)
(and the myth goes on - the common believe that "emtel so rezo pas bon" phew)

I've always been ranting that Mauritius is running out of bandwidth... we need more fibre links! Sad

& Orange won't implement FTTH until UCL decides to do it... Neutral & it's completely pointless to have FTTH with only SAFE! Sad

FTTH is already in the process of being implemented. Wi avec que SAFE li parait pas bien mais c'est pas la faute @ Orange.
