According to Don Yeomans at NASA’s JPL, the asteroid 2007 TU24 will miss us by about 530,000 km (334,000 miles) on January 29. It was earlier reported to be a distance of about 700,000 km, so it’ll be a tad closer than earlier thought.

No worries folks, I shall put Earth out of phase temporarily just in case. You shall live on, humans.

http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2007/21dec_2007wd5.htm

Astronomers are keeping a close watch on a 160-foot wide asteroid designated 2007 WD5, which on Wednesday had a one in 20 chance of striking Mars on Jan. 30. Of course there are no cities or ecologies to worry about, and the prospect of Mother Nature boring a hole into the Martian terrain actually has scientists quite excited.

There is a 1-in-75 chance of 2007 WD5 hitting Mars; researchers can't be more confident than that because of uncertainties in the asteroid's orbit. If this unlikely event were to occur, however, the strike would happen somewhere within a broad swath across the planet north of where the Opportunity rover is.

I hope it strikes Mars... Muahaha

Anyway, we're at risk of being pulled along with Halley in 61. lol! Don't know how powerful its gravitational pull would be the next time it comes close to us.
