Quality of Journalism in Mauritius

Post by DigitalBin on Wed Dec 05, 2007 9:06 am

My question to you is, do you feel that the quality of Mauritian journalism is acceptable? I'm not saying it is not acceptable. lol! But I want to know your opinion on this. And what are the newspapers you find professional and concise and what are those you find lack in terms of these criteria?

I find it weird how people still buy crappy newspapers like 5 plus Neutral I know, this is a subjective opinion but I just don't understand. This paper is just about plain sensationalism.

Yep i dont like 5 plus too..

L'express is nice. Straight forward language. But I dont really read newspapers. Except for tv guide and stuff.

Le Mauricien is very professional. Enfin ban ki lire zournal souvent pu cne plis.

I think newspapers here tend to cover subjects that people will want to read like rapes, murders, etc. This tend to make other news go unnoticed.

Organizing an event for the poor will never put you on the front page of some newspapers. But killing your neighbor will.

Servihoo?? lmfao, we are in Mauritius. :p

Mauritius Times is a good newspaper. In my opinion, Week-end is a curry full of masala. Only politics. I hate politics kind of.

L'express? I am no frequent reader. So I don't know what it can deliver.
